You know what I hate? Guilds.
I hate them. With a flaming passion.
I am so annoyed at my guild right now that I am minutes away from gquitting in frustration. I have my reasons to quit, and I have my reasons not to.
One of my main reasons not to: why can't I just be patient, grind to 60, and then start to get myself recruited as I crawl towards 70?
Another one: where will I go if I leave them? Sure, I was on my own before, but being on my own again will just be counterproductive to all the work I have been putting towards eliminating my PUG career.
And I need their ugly tabard to cover my uglier bright banana yellow chest piece (yes, even the upgrade to the last banana yellow chest piece is banana yellow).
So, after fuming to Z for an hour while he was in TK, I came to the uncomfortable decision that I should just stick it out for the time being. I mean, the hate comes in waves usually anyways.
So Ima try and make some friends. I am starting by participating in guild conversations and running guild/raid leaders through low level instances on their alts. I think talking will be good, as I was labeled "quiet much?" earlier today.
Words to Live By:
Due to the awkward look and feel of Tauren in the Undercity, guards will no longer permit their entry and have been flagged to kill on sight. Tauren, you've been warned.

I love my guild but I do think that breaks are oftentimes good. I have a lot of characters on both factions that are guildless, and that I can go play if a guild is getting to be a bit too much for me.
A break would be good, only I am racing towards sixty right now for some outside of WoW reasons. There's no way for me to escape my guild without quitting them.
And I have a lot of alts not in a guild or just in War Party (which I adore) that I can play. But sometimes then it gets too lonely....
But there's always an Alliance alt to play on when I need a real change in scenery! (until I get lost in Ironforge....)
its definetly a risk vs reward thing, i personally do not PvE beyond leveling and occasional 5 man, so to me a big guild is more of a hinderance just because A. no matter the size of the guild not everyone in it will like everyone else, there is always dissention and B. i hate beggars IE people that just expect because they are in a guild, then all the high levels need to help them, craft shiz free for them, PL them etc...helping is one thing, but expecting it is another
sorry for your heartache involved with some of the idiots that play this game, but hey, we cant all be perfect
=)
