So I've got some stuff to talk about, or rather, frustrations to vent about. And then I have some technical stuff that I will talk about in the next post, more specifically, a lowbie instance run schedule for the rest of December. But I will get to that in a minute.
Well I was going to just not play this weekend so that I could study. I thought I would be able to resist if I played for an hour or so Saturday night....
So Z and I get in the car and go to a game place near school that we attend on occasion. They have really nice gaming PCs with all the works: leather swivel chairs, plasma screen tvs that ring the room, black-light, super mouses, and access to all the games you know and love.
We log in and decide to run Scarlet Monastery on Gal and Z's War Party alt, just for fun and some nice loot for him. Now, Z's alt is only twenty six or so, so he was still a little low for SM, which meant the aggro radius was a little crazy, but we cleared most of the Library up to the final boss. At that point he pulled the entire last chamber, but it was late anyways, so we camped and went home. No biggie. Died once. Was pretty fun. Made a gold or two to spend on ammo for a few days.
So today it turned out my thirst for WoW had not been sated. In fact, it had doubled. I log in around eleven and find myself at the summoning stone for SM. There's this little shaman orc standing there. I think he's probably afraid of the ally sitting next to him, so he's hovering next to the stone to look as if he has more henchmen coming.
He whispers me.
"Hey, want to party with me?"
Or something of the like. I hesitate, knowing I should be studying. Plus, what will I get out of it? I guess I can auction off whatever I get, but my inventory is full. Well that's a quick fix, too, so why not?
Against my better judgement I accept and tell him I need to run to UC. He's still quivering about the ally (who was actually rather nice), and wants to gank him.
Badly.
I just stand around, telling him I need to sell I need to sell!
Anyways, after about a half hour we hit up SM having killed two whole parties of allies and gained another party member. Nice druid, plays a tank as his main, but is a healer at heart. He knew his stuff, and it was very nice to see damage and threat metres at such a low level. Gotta appreciate the threat metre, especially. Plus he was a pet healer. How good can it get? I can't wait to party with him again. But I digress.
Anywho, we run Cathedral with no incidents really. We plan on running Library, but I actually do need to sell this time and stock up on ammo, so we all run to UC. This is where it gets hairy.
The lag gets so bad, it takes me a full hour to run errands in UC. Then, attempting to get off the elevator, it dc's me—FOUR TIMES! I mean, I knew I should have given up, but it was so frustrating! Plus it takes me at least ten minutes to log in each time—also frustrating.
It's lagging as I speak. It's going to take me forever to write this up!
Anyways, I finally survive UC and my peeps have abandoned me for whatever. The shammy hits me up later for a run through Armoury, that got a tad hairy, but we did it. Oh, there was some random hunter dude in the mix there, but dunno what happened to him.
So I wasted most of my much-needed studying time on Scarlet Monastery with lowbies. Great.
Which leads me to the conclusion that I should start charging.
Oh, and I forgot: I named my wolf upon the druid's suggestion of Sebastian, but then accidentally typed Sabastian. Story of my life.
Words to Live By:
Due to the awkward look and feel of Tauren in the Undercity, guards will no longer permit their entry and have been flagged to kill on sight. Tauren, you've been warned.
