Today I solo'd BRD.
I cleared the whole thing up to the first boss.
No short cuts cause I don't have the key.
All I had left before I called guildies to help me down the boss was one pat, one four-pack, and one two-pack that I was just too lazy to do on my own (lol).
PUG my ass.
That's the proof.
It's a great exercize, actually. I really had to concentrate on pulls and strategic fights. There are tons of cc opportunities as well. It was a hunter workout!
It probably would have been more impressive had I completely cleared the Detention Block and downed the first boss, but, eh, what I did was pretty cool. And as it was I was met with a lot of disbelief, skepticism, and even some hate. Some people thought I was stupid and a newb.
But I have no doubt in my mind that I've come out a better hunter and a better player.
So, nyah nyah!
*EDIT: Guildie who came to help me wiped with me twice on Hedrum before calling it quits. I feel bad, and I didn't get to thank him enough. Kinda the whole deal with my guild made me feel like an idiot and a newb. They made me feel really alienated. Something about them being a little condescending to me the whole time.... Well, another post.

That's rather unfortunate about your guild acting that way. There is one person in particular in my guild that's like that and can really make me feel crappy. But I'm going to ignore him from now on (he managed to somewhat depress me last night).
A big "WOOT" to you though for clearing all that. BRD is a nice little spot for grinding hehe

Even if someone in your guild says "woo I soloed a level 1 bunny"... you cheer. Yer a guild, yer supposed to show support for eachother. Sides' that was impressive. /mutters
As for that one person... wow... My first instinct is to put him on /ignore. If he can mute you, and he doesn't. Thats his problem.
Course I'm one of those people who put everyone annoying on ignore.
WOW, solo'd at 53?? I applaud you. I'm 70 and was doing BRD just the other day (for the key), and I thought it was tough...
going with the you being impressive here...
I know groups of five lvl 54's that can't even get past those mobs.
